Privacy Policy

Winning Your Wedding Planning (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum we need, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

• Email address, only if you choose to download our free checklist or join our list. We use it to send you the checklist and occasional wedding-planning tips and product updates.
• Usage and device data, for analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 and advertising pixels from Meta, Pinterest, and TikTok. These set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, approximate location, device and browser type, and a pixel identifier. We use this to measure how the site performs and to show relevant ads on those platforms (retargeting). You can opt out at any time (see "Cookies and your choices" below).

What we never collect

• Payment information. Journal purchases are processed entirely by our print partner (Lulu Press, Inc.) on their secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.
• We do not collect sensitive personal information of any kind.

How your information is used

• To deliver the content you requested (e.g., the free checklist).
• To send occasional emails you signed up for. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
• We never sell or rent your email or contact details. To run analytics and ads, your site activity is shared with our analytics and advertising partners (Google, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok) so we can measure results and show relevant ads. Under some laws (for example California's CCPA) this may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out of these cookies at any time (see below).

Where it's stored

Your email is stored on our own secured systems. We retain it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Wherever you live, we honor these rights: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. To do any of these, email us and we'll take care of it promptly.

Cookies and your choices

This site uses two kinds of cookies and similar technologies:

• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Advertising and retargeting (Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag, TikTok Pixel): lets us measure ad results and show relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok after you visit.

Your choice: the first time you visit we show a brief banner. Click "Opt out" to turn these analytics and advertising cookies off in your browser, and we remember your choice. You can also opt out directly with each platform (Google, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok) or use your browser and device ad-tracking controls. Cookies that are essential to operate the site stay on.

Facebook and Instagram

We run our own Facebook Page and Instagram professional account for Winning Your Wedding Planning. To operate them we use Meta's official APIs through our own internal application, "Jarvis Insights", which is connected only to accounts we own. It does not read anyone else's account, and it is not a product or service we offer to other people.

If you interact with us on those accounts, here is exactly what that means:

• What we receive. If you comment on one of our posts or send us a direct message, we receive your public username or profile name, your profile picture, the text of your comment or message, and the time you sent it. If you send us a photo or a link, we receive that too. We do not receive your email address, phone number, friends list, or anything else from your Meta profile.
• Aggregate performance data. We also read insights about our own accounts and posts (views, reach, likes, follows). This is counted at the group level and does not identify you.
• Why we use it. To read and answer you, and to understand which of our posts are useful so we can make better ones.
• Where it goes. Comments and messages are processed and stored on our own servers. We may use an automated assistant to help draft a reply, which means the text of your message is sent to our AI service provider for that purpose. It is not used to train their models. A person reviews and approves replies before they are sent.
• What we never do. We do not sell your data, we do not hand it to advertisers, we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not use your messages to target ads at you.
• How long we keep it. As long as we need it to answer you and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time, using the section below.

Data deletion

You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you, and we will. This covers everything on this page: your email address if you joined our list, and any comments or messages you have sent us on Facebook or Instagram along with anything we stored from them.

How to request deletion: email hello@winningyourweddingplanning.com with the subject "Data deletion request". So we can find your data, please tell us which of these apply and include the matching detail:

• the email address you signed up with, if you joined our list;
• your Facebook or Instagram username, if you commented on or messaged our accounts.

We will confirm we received your request, delete the data, and email you when it is done, normally within 30 days. You do not need an account with us and there is no charge. If you would rather not email, you can send us a direct message on Instagram or Facebook asking for deletion, and we will treat that the same way.

Two honest limits: we cannot delete the comment or message from Meta's own systems, because that copy belongs to your Facebook or Instagram account and only you can remove it there; and we may keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and honored, because we are required to be able to show that we acted on it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
